MINISTRY OVERVIEW
Apartment Life partners with apartment owners and local churches to place CARES teams (married couple/family or two single adults) into apartment communities to assist the property owner in resident retention - building community and serving residents. These activities position CARES Teams as the hub of community life and provide the platform for building spiritual relationships, sharing the gospel and connecting residents to the Church. Apartment owners benefit by reducing resident and staff turnover and creating marketplace differentiation.
Apartment Life is unique in it's spiritually effectiveness, rapid reproducibility, and integrated business model that provides financial self-sufficiency after start-up.
Apartment Life has grown rapidly since its inception in 2000 and is now serving approximately 300 apartment communities in 15 cities. These CARES Teams have been fruitful for Christ intentionally building relationships, sharing the gospel, and connecting residents and staff to local churches. CARES Teams have impacted over 100,000 apartment residents for Christ to date.
God has granted Apartment Life favor with apartment owners and management companies, with eight of the top ten already implementing CARES. This penetration has been fueled by the clear business impact of CARES. Witten Advisors, a respected apartment market research firm, has determined the average annual financial benefit of the CARES Program to be $138,000. With an annual program cost of less than $20,000, CARES provides an estimated 700% annual return on investment. While Apartment Life's growth has been robust, the future impact potential is enormous. The eight largest clients alone represent additional growth prospects of over 1,000,000 apartment units.

So this position is not “hands-on” to hardware in their offices. They are managing the infrastructure and databases on Amazon though. They must have solid experience with Amazon Web Services. Linux, MySQL, and Tomcat support. Experience with VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Right Scale, HID, and PAM.
