Well recognized high-end restaurant with over 30 locations nationally is seeking a consultant to assume the IT leader role who has a strong background supporting the infrastructure and applications. Experience working with 3rd party resources is critical. Ideal candidate would have retail industry experience, especially experience supporting POS applications. Equipment utilized includes 50 servers, 35 switches, 85 office printers, 325 email users, 75 desktop PC's and 45 laptops.

Rapidly growing media company ($100MM) based in Los Angeles that operates online media, community, and e-commerce sites in vertical markets. The company also develops and licenses internet software and social media applications seeks VP, IT. They desire a CTO or CIO from a smaller company in the internet/online media space. The technical environment of being Linux does limit the talent pool. Ideal profile: a Technology Generalist would be better than someone with specialty in one specific area as responsible for application development, operations and network/telephony (3 direct report managers with 15-20 indirect reports). They do a lot of in-house application development but they do have some off the shelf software also.

Must be able to manage a very diverse technical environment, good understanding of security issues with an internet company, understanding of ”Cloud infrastructure”. Will wear multiple hats. Must be able to move large initiatives and own them to the end. Must have experience with Change Management, Network and Application scalability, Infrastructure responsibility (telephone, data services, applications, network, operations), Must be a really strong problem solver at a micro level, Must be able to drive solutions.

Currently looking for a Senior LINUX/UNIX Administrator to join their expert team of engineers in this fast paced technically challenging environment. The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging, fast paced environment, and have significant experience in supporting complex web based multi-platform LINUX/UNIX environment. Sun experience is extremely helpful but some training may be available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the migration of a variety of LAMP web environments.
• Must have some MySQL administration background and excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• General networking and or development experience is helpful.
• Must have experience in Production, Development, and/or Staging environments; including daily hands-on operation setup, configuration, and general maintenance and extensive troubleshooting.
• Administer the server hardware, LINUX/UNIX operating system and selected system applications.
• Responsible for assisting the LINUX server users, including Oracle Database Administrators, or SQL Developers, QA, etc., with application specific usage, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Must have qualifications:

This newly created position will have overall responsibility and accountability for managing the development of advance arrangements and procedures to ensure the organization can effectively respond to a disaster so critical business functions are resumed within a defined time frame, the amount of loss is minimized, and any stricken facilities are repaired or replaced as quickly as possible. Also manages the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall ITS disaster recovery plans (Emergency Response, Recovery Support and Business Resumption) for each critical functional area of the organization. In case of an actual disaster, leads the systems recovery team. Reports to Director of Support Services.

Must have qualifications:

• Extensive IT DR/BCP and corporate BCP experience in a large enterprise level datacenter including developing written procedures:
• Establishing ITS DR testing methodologies.
• Developing DR strategic plans.
• Technical experience in supporting Windows server platforms, LANs, WANs, replication software, and virtualization software such as VMWare.

Established performing and entertainment center with an established presence in Orange County is seeking a highly motivated Systems & Database Administrator that will be responsible for the administration and support of Microsoft Windows servers, Microsoft SQL Server databases, and the Tessitura enterprise system. This enterprise system and database tracks donors, contributions, prospect information, ticket sales, marketing campaigns and customer service issues. Further in the Database Administration role, will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the CRM database. For the Systems Administration role, will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, hardware and software and related infrastructure. Reports to Director, Information Technology

Must have qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years experience supporting Windows Server and Windows SQL Server.
• In-depth experience in server administration (in particular SQL DBA skills), database administration, data imports and exports, developing reports (preferably using Crystal Reports, SSRS and/or InfoMaker.
• Proven ability in translating between end users needs and IT requirements.
